CHARACTER
Name: Mickey Mouse
Canon: Kingdom Hearts
Age: Looks like his twenties, implied to be ageless
Timeline: Post Dream Drop Distance
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: N/A
Personality:
For a guy who is typically all smiles and sunshine, he’s had to boulder a lot of tragedy during his life. But it just goes to prove how strong he really is, as no matter what happens to him, he refuses to give up. He does not even allow himself proper time to grieve over these events, because he needs to do what he needs to do right now, and can’t wait for anything(Example : Goofy’s ‘death’ In KH2, Mickey barely hesitated to dive into action as revenge for what happened to his fallen friend) . Often, however, that trait gets him into trouble, as he often doesn’t ask for help and feels he can do these things by going head-first. (Example: In KH Birth, he thought he knew better than his master, Yen Sid, and took the Star without permission to go traveling) Though he can be stubborn and arrogant in that way of thinking, he honestly means well when he does these things, and is only trying to help. When he does leave people behind, it’s because he trusts them and feels they can handle themselves, because if Mickey thinks of you as a friend, you have his complete faith.
When he’s not whacking shadows with his giant key, Mickey is very friendly and pleasant, eager to make friends and share stories. He often assumes the best of people before he gets to know them, and even if he’s been hurt by a friend, he can still hold firm belief in them that they can change. His love for his friends is so strong that it can even change things he strongly believed in before. (Example: Before meeting Riku, he thought all who used the power of Darkness were bad. But after meeting him and spending time with him, Mickey decided that Riku could use the power of Darkness for good, and in fact encouraged Riku to do what he could with both darkness and light.) He’s also a bit of a mischievous guy, able to tease and prank like any child, but also knows when it’s time to man up and take responsibility. He’s loved and respected by everyone in his kingdom, but he never lets that give him a swelled head, and treats everyone equally.
Though there’s little more Mickey would love than to just relax in the arms of his wife and see his friends happy and healthy, he can’t deny that he enjoys adventures and mysteries. He can feel useless if he has to stay somewhere and not do anything, which is why he tends to seek these mysteries out so he can solve them and right the wrongs. Adding this with his determination, he lacks the ability to give up on any cause for any reason. He is willing to do anything to help even complete strangers, even at the cost of his own safety. (Example: At the end of KH 1, Mickey willingly closed himself and Riku off into a realm of darkness, not knowing what was on the other side but knew this would save his close friends, Donald and Goofy, and a kid named Sora who he barely knew.) This is a mouse that cannot be stopped when he has a goal in mind, no matter how many years it takes or how badly he wants to go home. He’s stubborn to a fault with a heart of pure gold.
Background:
A wiki for Mickey!
Abilities:
He has the following magic spells under his belt -
And the Keyblade, naturally! The all mighty weapon that is as heavy and sharp as a sword, able to unlock any luck – except the way to get out of the game’s world, of course. He has the access to two keyblades, but again, for the sake of being fair, he’ll only be able to use the Kingdom Key D. In battle, he’s very agile and speedy, able to kick off and do backflips off flat surfaces. (And able to enchant brooms. Maybe.)
First Person:
[Mickey waved pleasantly at the communication’s device glad to ‘see everyone’.]
Hiya, folks! How’s everyone doin’? I hope I ain’t interruptin’ anything, ‘cause I got a real big and important question ta ask…
[He paused. How should he word this?]
… Let’s say ya know about somethin’ that’s gunna happen in the future ta someone. Hypothetical, and all that. And it’s all good news! Should ya say somethin’? Or just let it be? ‘Cause… well, this whole situation we’re in has me thinkin’ about a lot of stuff. There are big rules already bein’ broken here, though it ain’t exactly causin’ the harm I thought they would. Or maybe I’m just worryin’ too much…
[Another pause, but for a different reason. He wound up laughing.]
I never thought I’d see the day where I was the one worryin’ too much! I’ve seen everythin’ but an elephant fly now! Aw, just forget I said anything, I’m sure I can figure it out. They don’t make dummies into kings, y’know!
Third Person:
Aw, and he liked that umbrella! Mickey waved the broken umbrella around a few times, lamenting his bad luck and wishing for a spell that could repair it. Alas, while his spells covered basic elements and could save entire worlds, they could not repair umbrellas. He tossed the wreck over his shoulder, and crossed his arms as he looked as his surroundings. The nearby shack tucked into the alleyway appeared to be holding its own, somehow, and if that was blood (and not ketchup as he was hoping) on the second neighborly home, he was fairly certain he could handle himself against any dangerous foe inside. Yet both of them lacked what the furthest option seemed to portray with its neon glowing lights and lit up windows – the prospect of good company.
He took a quick look around to make sure no one was watching, especially anyone who knew him. He still had a mentor image to maintain with certain individuals, and no doubt that would have been taken down a few notches if they saw him giddily running through puddles like a disobedient child. They weren’t around, so he was free to splash to his heart’s content as he raced towards the hotel, enjoying the sounds of the water smacking against the sidewalk and sloshing around in his giant shoes. He could hear Minnie lecturing him in his head. “You’re going to get a terrible cold!”, she’d be saying, and he’d protest, and she’d insist on making him wear a hideous sweater, and he’d try to suavely suggest that maybe they could warm up together…
The comforting thoughts of home did their job, and the journey to the hotel passed by before he knew it. Smiling brightly, he slowed down to a halt, preparing to be the semi-serious mouse of the house and proudly strutted inside. He made three steps on the soft red carpet before suddenly letting loose the loudest sneeze he had ever heard. The lady at the front desk ever so slowly turned towards him, catching him making a terribly sheepish expression as he timidly began to back out from whence he came. Oh well… off to the shack, if it was still standing.s
